Following is a list of the questions I hear most often from Brides and Grooms concerned about choosing the best entertainment to suit their needs, style and budget.

Bride: “I am in need of entertainment for my wedding reception. I have talked to several DJ's on the phone and they all sound pretty much the same. How can I be sure that I am getting the best entertainment for my reception?”

Weddings of Distinction: A wedding is vast and complex. You ABSOLUTELY CANNOT make an informative decision about entertainment for your reception over the telephone. If a company does not immediately offer to meet with you face to face to discuss your plans, this is an indication that they will likely take little to no personal interest in you or your event. Moving on to the next company on the list would be a good idea.

Bride: “Is there really a difference between an Entertainment Director and a Disc Jockey?”

Weddings of Distinction: Absolutely! Most Wedding Entertainment Directors likely began their careers as disc jockeys. But, with an added degree of professionalism, the Entertainment Director has evolved to include total event direction as the Master of Ceremonies. I take a personal interest in the Bride & Groom, and guide them where they need it the most, at their reception!

A Cook will prepare food, a Chef will create a total dining experience.

In much the same way, a disc jockey plays music, whereas a Wedding Entertainment Director uses music as one of many tools along the course of creating a reception masterpiece.

For your once in a lifetime event . . .
will you settle for anything less than a masterpiece?

Bride: “I’ve been to several of my friends wedding receptions. Although they were nice, they all seemed pretty much the same, just the locations changed. How can I make my reception special and unique to fit our personal style?

Weddings of Distinction: It’s all in the details. A good Wedding Entertainment Director will often spend several days, and sometimes more, in the preparation and performance of a wedding reception. Personalized love stories, unique introductions, custom voice over songs, these and a lot more are all part of a Wedding of Distinction, and guaranteed to set your event apart from any other.

As one of the greatest Entertainment Directors of all time,
Walt Disney knew better than anybody else how the smallest of details can make the biggest difference.

Weddings of Distinction thrives on the very same philosophy of giving to its clients and their guests more than what they expect . . .
and that's just pure magic!

Bride: “Your price is not advertised on your website. Does this mean that you are very expensive?”

Weddings of Distinction: No, what this means is that I am not generic, with a one size fits all performance. Only by getting to know the Bride & Groom can I determine the best way to meet their needs. And only when I understand their needs can I give them an accurate price to fill those needs.

Weddings are special and unique and cannot be redone if not done correctly the first time. I take your special moment in time very seriously, and I meet with each and every couple before accepting the role as their wedding entertainer.

To meet with me, my time is free. Take advantage of it and learn how to make the most of your reception. Ask as many questions as you like and learn everything you need to know in order to have a great wedding reception. You’ve nothing to lose, and the greatest day of your life to gain.

Bride: “My wedding is very important to me, but I still don’t want to pay more than I have to in order to get what I need.”

Weddings of Distinction: Well I think we’re all in agreement there. Typically, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The trick is in narrowing down what you truly need. I have a test that I give to each and every bride & groom that will help them to understand what their needs are and to assign the appropriate level of importance to each need. This will help them to choose the best entertainment for them. Sometimes its me, and sometimes its not. My goal is to help each couple to find an entertainment match for their needs and personal style.

Bride: “How does a wedding entertainer direct the reception?”

Weddings of Distinction: When you visualize your wedding and reception, what you really see is a series of events and activities all coming together in order to create one great event, your wedding reception.

As your event director I manage your reception in much the same way as a director of a stage performance: with scene one beginning with the arrival of the bride & groom and the final act with the bride & groom offering a farewell to their guests.

I will work with you and your crew step by step in order to make certain that each scene at your reception runs smoothly and is enjoyable and entertaining for all. Planning each detail in advance will help to prevent unforeseen obstacles from bringing the curtains down on your special event.
